Small plugs for restoration plantingsGrown from locally wild-gathered seeds
I was able to gather sufficient quantity of seeds from local, uncultivated patches of over 50 species of native plants in 2024 that am offering larger quantities of seedlings for local restoration plantings in 2025.
For small to medium scale restoration projects of up to 5000 plugs, please email me to let me know which species and quantities you have in mind and I’ll let you know how quickly I can have them ready to go. Eight weeks or more of growing-season lead time would be ideal but, for orders of up to around 2000 plugs in quantities of 100 or fewer of each individual species, I can often have them available on short notice from the end of May until mid September.
I’d be happy to discuss projects of 5000 to 20,000 plugs with sufficient lead time (generally 2 to 4 months to allow for stratification of additional seeds, if required). The plants offered through the online store are from the same seed sources so, for quantities of fewer than 50 seedlings of any given species, please place your order through the website as usual.
These are the species that I expect to be able to offer in quantity in 2025. All are gathered within 100km of Ottawa. I can provide specific information about gathering location of each species if required for your project.
