The Native Plant Store can Now be Found Here

  • This page will remain accessible as a library page until I have all the species moved to the new page and all the quirks worked out in the new software so it can function as a searchable library.
  • Please see the Using the Plant Library  page  for some tips on how to make the most of the information in this existing library to select species for creating a healthy native plant community suited to the conditions of your site.

Ludwigia alternifolia, Seedbox

~Not sown for 2024~

Ludwigia alternifolia

Seedbox

  • Moderate to high moisture soils
  • Prefers full sun
  • 24” to 36” tall, 18” to 24” wide
  • Summer blooms with fall seeds
  • Native to Ontario, thrives in high moisture meadows, ditches and shorelines

New to me this year, grown from seeds from Prairie Moon Nursery https://www.prairiemoon.com/ludwigia-alternifolia-seedbox-prairie-moon-nursery.html

A moisture loving species with pretty yellow flowers in the summer and adorable seed pods in the fall.

Please check out the Prairie Moon listing at the link above for more details.
