Hairy Wood Mint

  • Average to moderately high moisture soils  
  • Partial to Full Shade
  • 36” tall, 18” to 24” wide
  • Summer to Early Fall Blooms
  • Ontario Native, Thrives in Open Woodland and Forest Ecosystems

Still new to my gardens, grown from seeds sourced from Prairie Moon Nursery.

For partial sun to shaded areas in average to high moisture locations.

Can spread to form dense colonies and grow up to 3' tall.

Similar in overall appearance to Catnip and Motherwort (both introduced Eurasian species) bit with larger, showier flowers. Reportedly a very popular nectar source for many pollinators.
