The Plant store is now closed for orders.

  • I'm planning on one last round of sales toward the end of September of plants that I'll be potting up from a nursery bed I planted in the fall of 2022. I'll post the details and the time once I have the plants ready to go
  • Please see the Using the Plant Library  page  for some tips on how to make the most of the information here to select species for creating a healthy native plant community suited to the conditions of your site.
  • Please see the Plant Nursery for a photo of the different sizes/prices on offer and for information on the sizing of these seedlings and the details of the sale
  • Species that were not seeded, didn’t germinate or that are sold out are marked with an asterisk *

* Blephilia ciliata, Downy Wood Mint

Sold out for 2023

Blephilia ciliata

Downy Wood Mint

  • Average to dry soils
  • Full Sun to Partial Shade
  • 12” tall, 10” to 18” wide, spreads to form a patch
  • Early Summer Blooms
  • Ontario Native, Thrives in Meadow, Dry Meadow and Open Woodland Ecosystems

Still new to my gardens, grown from seeds sourced from Prairie Moon Nursery.

A very showy species that blooms in mid summer, grows to around 12” tall and spreads to form a patch. They are adapted to dry to average soils in sunny and partially shaded locations, unappealing to deer and very popular with pollinators.

Please check out the Prairie Moon listing at the link above for more details and some really lovely photos.
