  • Ontario Native, Thrives in Meadow and Dry Meadow Ecosystems

Still new to my gardens, grown from seeds sourced from Prairie Moon Nursery.

At their best in full sun settings, this grass is lovely for massing and is the parent species of many garden and landscape cultivars. Like many of those cultivars, these have a fairly clumping appearance but can spread by slowly by rhizomes and quickly by seed if there are open spaces in the landscape so they have the potential to overwhelm small spaces or less enthusiastic species.
