The Plant store is now closed for orders.

  • I'm planning on one last round of sales toward the end of September of plants that I'll be potting up from a nursery bed I planted in the fall of 2022. I'll post the details and the time once I have the plants ready to go
  • Please see the Using the Plant Library  page  for some tips on how to make the most of the information here to select species for creating a healthy native plant community suited to the conditions of your site.
  • Please see the Plant Nursery for a photo of the different sizes/prices on offer and for information on the sizing of these seedlings and the details of the sale
  • Species that were not seeded, didn’t germinate or that are sold out are marked with an asterisk *

* Agrimonia gryposepala, Tall Hairy Agrimony

~Did not germinate for 2023~

Agrimonia gryposepala

Tall Hairy Agrimony

  • Average to slightly dry or slightly wet soils
  • Partial Shade
  • 4’ to 5’ tall, 12” to 24” wide
  • Early Summer Blooms
  • Ontario Native, Thriving Open Woodland ecosystems

New to me, grown from seeds from Prairie Moon Nursery https://www.prairiemoon.com/agrimonia-gryposepala-tall-hairy-agrimony

A tall, airy yellow flower for partial shaded areas that is pollinated by bees. Not particular about the soil conditions.

Recommended in Lorraine Johnson’s blog post Ghost Plants about hard to source species deserving of wider planting in Ontario gardens

Please check out the Prairie Moon listing at the link above for more details.
