Carex radiata, Eastern Star Sedge

Carex radiata

Eastern Star Sedge

  • Average to moderately high moisture soils -Doesn’t tolerate drought well
  • Part shade to full shade
  • 12” tall, 12” to 18” spread
  • Spring blooming, summer seed heads
  • Native to Ontario, Open Woodland and Forest ecosystems

New to me this year, grown from seeds from Prairie Moon Nursery https://www.prairiemoon.com/carex-radiata-eastern-star-sedge

A clump forming sedge recommended for forest settings with some moisture availability through the summer.

Please check out the Prairie Moon listing at the link above for more details.
